文章摘要: The transverse vibration of the beam with opening cracks was studied in this paper. Continuous bending stiffness and shear stiffness of the beam were deduced, based on energy distribution,using energy method of fracture mechanics. Then, the vibration characteristics of cracked Timoshenko beams were calculated using matrix transfer method. Natural frequency attenuation, which fluctuates with the variation of crack parameters such as depth and location of a crack, was analyzed. Comparing the results with those obtained by the finite-element method, the validity of the method used in this paper was verified.
